Le Nivernic - Reservar uma mesa

Only open lunchtimes and we have always tried to go for the evening, finally for my birthday last year my husband took me there for lunch and my goodness it was worth the wait. It was the lightest pastry topping I have ever had. The cost of the daily lunch was really good but of course I made the most of it that day and pushed the price up for us!!! A lovely setting for a wedding or the like as it is by the canal.

The place is nice, the entrance has a quiet bar, the decoration is in the taste of the moment, the large room is well lit but not tamized then there is a terrace that overlooking the canal from Nantes to Brest a little moment of relaxation. The lunch menu is 19 euros with each time three entrances, three dishes, three desserts. Different choices, welcoming and friendly waitresses.

We found this restaurant by accident! Beautiful setting and panoramic view from restaurant. We had the menu of the day and was not disappointed! Quick efficient service and food was delicious. Very popular with the locals! This restaurant was only open lunchtimes and unfortunately closed on Saturday, where we hoped we could have had a meal before returning on Brittany Ferries!

The large dining room overlooks the Nantes-Brest canal so try to get a table by the window. The restaurant itself is rather lacking in ambiance, but the menu (lunchtime only) is okay and the food is good value for money. Worth a visit, but probably not for a special occasion.

Lovely location overlooking canal, apart from functions only opens at lunchtime and most patrons appear to be white collar workers as they pay using tokens. A good two course meal can be enjoyed here for about 15 euros.
