Le Maquis - Reservar uma mesa

Our last two nights on Corsica were spent at Le Maquis. What a charmer! From booking, to questions before our arrival, to our welcome, to our delightful room overlooking the sea, to the restaurant...everything about this beautiful oasis outside of Ajaccio was spectacular! The grounds surrounding the hotel are immaculate, the pool is beautiful, and the hotel is right on the beach, with lounge chairs just steps from the hotel and someone that is happy to bring you a beverage. Watching the sunset from the restaurant terrace while enjoying wonderful food and warm, helpful service was the perfect end to amazing days. The resident cat, Mimi, was a plus! I highly recommend that you not miss Le Maquis is you are making a trip to Ajaccio!

We have eaten in a good few restaurants and generally the standard has been very good with food being honest, well prepared and made from locally sourced ingredients as well as local cheeses, meats etc. But Le Maquis is another level, really well prepared, sophisticated all the while taken on a beautiful terrace with views down the valley to the sea. One word of warning, it is on a long hilly road and Porto does not have any taxi service!

We came by this restaurant by chance WOW what a find. The food is excellent with a lovely friendly service. We visited out of season, early March so not a lot of places open, but this place looked SO inviting and certainly worth a visit!

We enjoyed a delightful dinner at the Maquis. Delicious local food accompanied by nice local wine and served by excellent staff in a cosy, homely atmosphere.

Fantastic restaurant in Corsica near Ota. Healthy seafood breathtaking view around it. Love love love... Come and teste it.
