Le Jardin - Reservar uma mesa

Basic but decent city centre restaurant in pleasant street next to the Theatre. Salad and smoked salmon to start which was OK. Good bavette steak cooked rare as requested with roasted potatoes .Wife ordered saute turkey but for sure the chicked option was brought and then passed off as turkey...pity but anyway it was OK. Good plate of cheese and dessert. I think menu was 16 Euros so nothing to complain about. Efficient friendly service and coped well given that the restaurant was busy and it's just a 2 person operation.

We were delighted to find this place having travelled most of the day. The hostess was so attentive and kind. Our young daughter's meal was brought immediately so she didn't have to wait for adults and, rather than the normal nuggets or burger, she had lovely slices of ham with a really good portion of vegetables. She demolished the lot! Our food was also excellent and we were given good wine recommendations. Service throughout was excellent. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Staying at the Ibis hotel we found this restaurant after a very short walk, we found the staff to be very good and service was as to be expected. We paid for a set price menu of 3 courses and found that all 3 courses were very good and reasonably priced, we will be staying in Chaumont for around 20 day and will definitely be revisiting this restaurant.

From the outside this looked like just what I was after, very French, small quaint looking restaurant, the reality was. Boiled chicken reheated in a microwave, boil in the bag/uncle Ben style rice. The chef, waiter, bar man (all the same person) was dressed in a fashion more suitable to repair my car than cook my evening meal.

You feel welcome, no artificial atmosphere, authentic service; simple food, but very tasty, very gladly again!
