Le Dauphin - Reservar uma mesa

This restaurant has been under new ownership since March 2015. The French tripadvisor reviews have been positive other than comments on the state of the lavatories.We ate recently at the restaurant with a prix fixe menu in the evening of 28 euros and a good bottle of wine for €16. The three course menu was good, service charming and attentive and the value equation strong. In the evening Diners are located at one end of the restaurant with the entry to the lavatories clear to see. For some reason, the French are regular visitors to the facilities and we were aware of the waitress being called to attend - this is difficult in that one cannot control diner behaviour and habits. However, in the short term, to make it less apparent, diners should be located at the other end of the restaurant and in the longer term, some kind of vestibule should be built to reduce ones awareness of the comings and goings.

As a family we have been coming to this restaurant for years and years, mostly seafood is served in Le Dauphin next to the harbor and beach in Canet-Plage. But the steak and meat are really great as well. The staff existing of family, is doing a great job making you feel right at home with excelent service. This restaurant is a MUST on your list when you are in the region.

Bearded moules and bought in pudding. Good service but pretty average food. For what is was, I felt it was a tad expensive too.

Set menu dinner was delicious and I had the largest ile flottante I have ever seen. Very friendly staff and good value food.

First visite everything ok, second visit had to send my dish back as the fish was cold, however the Gambad was excellent.
