Le Corsaire - Reservar uma mesa

On 3 previous occasions, my wife and I have looked at the myriad restaurants and menus in Honfleur and then settled for Le Corsaire. No change this year and 4 of us opted to eat here again. Speaking in my best Franglais, the 2 lady waiters really looked after us and we had an awful lot of laughs with them. With a 3-course menu for €15.80, you don't really expect a lot, but they certainly deliver. Starters were excellent and I got a large dish of garlic mayo with my seafood starter. When my sister grabbed the dish to get some to dip her moules into, the waiter pulled it off her and told her it was mine. Wonderful!Main courses were probably standard fare, but that's not a bad thing. With dessert, my brother-in -law asked for some cream on his creme caramel after seeing the cream on my apple tart, so the waitress took it away and returned it with a huge whirl of cream.With good food, good company and really fantastic service, this was our best meal out in 6-weeks touring.Merci beaucoup

To come back to this restaurant was a must for us. We found it by chance 2 years ago and wanted to revisit it again with a friend. None of us were disappointed with the food. We all had a three course set menu which was just under €14 - great value. Bottle of wine €23-a little steep, but not uncommon in Honfleur. Mussels and pate for starters, chicken in calvedos and Salmon for mains (It's the best salmon I have ever had) and tart for desert. The green beans with the chicken weren't brilliant but edible. Service was good and staff attentive. The only thing that I found a little disappointing is they re-dressed our table with damp linen.

Prices and general menu are resonable, however service EXTREMELY slow (even if very friendly) and food is not really good. Some menu items (quite some actually) are missing and thats not really good.Avoid monk fish (smelly) and profitroles. Only shrimps are more or less OK and seafood plate.

I would have had to stay in in Honfleur a long time to justify this claim, but we have visited the town many times over the years, and this has always been our favourite.

Please never eat here, the food is terrible the service is even worse. This is by far the worst meal I have ever eaten.
