Le Chapon d'Or - Reservar uma mesa

I dined here on a Saturday evening following the recommandation of the Office du Tourisme in Bourg. My daughter and I were all set for a gourmet dinner and started off with a lovely crisp Saint Veran 2014. Service was slow -- with the proprietress serving, taking orders, etc-- as is usually the case in family run restaurants in France. We appreciated her patience and excellent advice on the wines...following up with a medium bodied red- Chinon 2013 from the Loire Valley. My daughter selected the daily menu-- snails, followed by fish and dessert. I opted for Poulet de Bresse avec morilles. Everything just had too much creamy yellow sauce -- laden with calories but no taste. We requested piment d'Espelette for some zing....but the food unfortunately just did not do it for us. The bill was a decent 95 euros-- but overall an unremarkable dining experience.

we found this restaurant via the site and a little hesitated before entering. and yet, it is the solution to very well eat at prices more than correct. The map is not very elaborate and so much better because it's qualitative.We opted for the menu of the day on a Saturday, the dish was sufficiently copied, well realized, we enjoyed it!

a day of rain, we discovered this small restaurant (open in August) on the advice of the tourist office but could not enjoy the terrace...The lunch menu is of a very good value for money, original flavors and we do not come out with hunger!the staff is friendly and the efficient service. It was all together to make us forget the rain!

Quite good, albeit a bit pricey at 24€ for lunch The snail appetizer was great My pork was good, my mom's fish as well Dessert was excellent.

good restaurant in town center. excellent d.o.c. chicken from the area. tried with mushrooms and jerez wine. polite and friendly staff.
