Le Caprice - Reservar uma mesa

We visited this restaurant for my parent's 40th wedding anniversary, so were very disappointed with the food and experience in general.My husband ordered a steak, which was good and my dad had chicken noodles that were fine. My mum and I ordered tartiflette, which we expected to be good in this area of France. Unfortunately the potato was not cooked and the dish was generally dry and bland. The waiter had been speaking to us in English despite our bad attempts at french but when we told him that the dish was inedible he pretended not to understand us. Fortunately the couple opposite us had the exact same problem and explained to him for us. A different waiter came and told us that this was how they cook the dish. There was no apology and the food was not taken off the bill.There was also a problem with the fire in the next door bar whilst we were here - the room filled up with smoke and it was all a bit strange.We would definitely not recommend or return.

Had four dinners included in our package. three choices for each of the three courses. Excellent homemade soups, good choice of meat and fish dishes and desserts.I found a couple of nice surprises - a starter of mussel & asparagus risotto, unusual but very pleasant, a dessert of roasted strawberries and green peppercorns - delicious!From memory the prix fixe is 22.5 euros, good value in this area.

this restaurant offers a daily and an a la carte menue, both are interesting and diverse; we had everything from beef carpaccio to fish to burgers, all were excellent, the service was prompt and polite, and the food is well priced,it's ridiculous to call this the 19th best restaurant in Les Houches.

We ate here as part of our half board staying at Hotel du Bois. A 3 course set menu which was really delicious. We also had breakfast here which was also quite good.

wonderful staff, excellent standard of food, not too expensive! I would highly recommend either the steak or the slow cooked lamb shank!
