Le Bistrot de l'Alouette

My wife and I visited the Bistro as we we're staying in Pessac. Even though we are English and trying our best to speak French, the staff we're very attentive, especially Leonore and Jonathon. The service and food we're fantastic. A good choice of menu,...we found it difficult to choose! The chef (Benjamin Wavrant) ensured every dish was well presented and plentiful with particular attention to detail. We were so impressed we visited again (twice in one week) and every dish was superb (would highly recommend the lamb or duck). We ate out on the terrace the first evening and inside the restaurant the second time. The place is clean and tidy and has a great ambience. The service was excellent. We will definitely return next time we visit Pessac

Enjoyed a very pleasant evening here. If you don’t speak much French the manager speaks very good English. We sat outside on their lovely terrace and were served nibbles with our drinks. The manager recommended a very good bottle of local wine. We started with...carpaccio of beef which was very nice. My other half then had beef tartare which he said was delicious. I had the pasta dish which was a little bland. Overall though we had a very enjoyable evening

Everything is great, the place, beautiful, the meal good, artistic, inspired and tasty. Just a little regret, service is good, professional, but sometime a little bit to strict, depending on the service staff person you talk with. Anyway, come here with any doubt, I’m sure...you will appreciate

Really nice restaurant. I had a big juicy entrecote. Very well cooked and very tasty. My wife had Le parmentier de canard. OMG! That was even better than entrecote. I still regret I didn't order it Great food menu and great choice of wine...list. Very friendly staff

We loved the ambiance ! Outside casual and inside is elegant. We ordered ducks plates booth were delicious
