Le Bellevue - Reservar uma mesa

Returned to this great brasserie restaurant for an evening meal. It was fairly busy but we were given a table on the terrace. The menu has a small, but good selection of dishes; we went for the 22Euro menus - foie gras and delice starter and a salmon starter with a ball of lemon ice (inventive and delicious because it wasn't too sweet)! Then we both had the magret of duck; seasonal veggies were lovely. We had ice cream and an apple tart for dessert plus a half bottle of St Nicholas de Bourgeuil red, coffees and aperitifs. We paid 60 Euros in total which was great value for money and a very pleasant way to pass a couple of leisurely evening hours.

Good: Friendly waitress with a personal approach towards the clients. Ready to give additional information or to fulfil additional requests. Price / quality of the food is correct . Received some free apetizers with local products while waiting for our main dishes .Not good: There is no card with the aperitifs on, so you have no idea of the possible drinks and prices thereof (unless you ask the price on beforehand ) . The entrecôte was served not warm enough, almost cold. This was the case for all the entrecôtes ordered ( other dish, salmon, was warm)

Have visited several times and on this occasion twice - once for an evening meal with friends and another for lunch with my husband. The patron is very engaging and creates a warm atmosphere, the overall service is French - so don't expect 3 courses in less than 2 hours, but to me that is a positive! Had the Gourmet menu for

My lamb was wonderfully cooked and very quickly served. The coconut tart was perfect as was the considerate service. Highly recommended.

You've got to try it! The title summaries all the points. We even had the two princess of the restaurant owner to serve us ketchup.
