In our week stay we ate in several restaurants in this area. This is not a flashy restaurant but I found the food to be delicate and delicious, the sauces were very good. And compared to other fixed menus at other places, I felt these menus were regularly changed. My one criticism, the very old fashioned and somewhat uninteresting vegetables peeled to uniform shapes and served to all, regardless of whether fish or meat had been ordered. But allowances made for lack of choice maybe? The Iles flotant was superb and my companions made similar observations about their puddings, nice to see pain perdu on a menu.I hope this chef will just continue push the boundaries and set himself apart and above the majority.
