We went to the restaurant after it was recommended by the owner of our Chambre d'hôtes. The pink neon lighting was a bad omen and we should have chosen a different restaurant. We ordered the seafood pasta and the tartare du bœuf. The pasta was...horrible. It concistzd of frozen seafood, pasta drenched in oil and grated mozzarella that came from a plastic bag. We asked the chef if the seafood pasta was fresh. He said everything he used was fresh from that day (if you look at the number of dishes on the menu and the low number of customers on a Friday evening, this is just not possible). It was annoying that the chef lied about his produce. When we asked to see the cheese he used, he showed us a bag of grated mozzarella from the fridge. It was clear that the cheese had melted because of the heat and then was put back in the fridge. This was an interruption of the cold-chain and the food should have been disguarded. When we told the chef that this was not acceptable, he was not aware that this was a problem (this is even worse.. There was also no date of opening on the packaging (as is obliges in restaurants), so no way to know when things had to be disguarded. No understanding/respect for basic rules such as FIFO (first-in-first-out principles) or other basic hygiene rules. French fries were not fresh but came from the freezer. The chef spend his time with customers in the garden instead of cooking in his kitchen, given the fact that he was the only staff-member working in the kitchen. The food was served very fast, it is just not possible that this was made fresh. The garden is covered with fake plastic grass and is lighted with flood lights and led strips in different colours (red, yellow, blue,.. Not the most cosy place to be. A main dish for persons with a bottle of water and Richard's was about euro's... I would not go there again, it was one of the worst restaurant experiences in years... My advice, spend your money elsewhere
