This hotel has a terrace restaurant behind it and a really beautiful garden going up to the mountains for the spring flowers. Both can be accessed by the small side passageway and it is an ideal place for mothers to bring their buggies providing they stay on the lower level or inside.I saw many mothers grouped together in the very comfortable settees which are well spread out with tables also with plenty of legroom. Dogs are allowed. The huge windows give a panoramic view of the landing ground for those who come down in parapentes-the semi-parachute that can be guided upon the air currents of the valley.. The booking place for this dangerous but exciting exercise is just by the Terrace restaurant.. Because of the Windows there is very little internal decoration only an artificial animal which passes as a bear hanging on the wall.It is known for its musical events and its Sunday roast..I chose the pulled pork and chunky chips neither of which was out of the ordinary.. I was served by Sophie in a very pleasant way as she walked daintily across the clean tiled floor.I did not like the fact that the food was served in cold metal dishes--rather like baking dishes with a piece of paper spread in the bottom got mixed up with my food, particularly the red cabbage coleslaw.Why oh why?My friend enjoyed his halibut but my wife thought that the chicken was not particularly fresh and sent it back.In fairness it may have been that the chicken had taken the anchovy taste She finished up with changing it to hummus and flatbreads. My daughter had a vegetarian salad, composed of a good mixture of vegetables.All the portions were generous.A chef friend of mine nearby commented that the burger was okay.This place is ideal in the garden on a summers day if you can climb up the steps because that is when you will see some exciting landings.

I love the music events here and I have been several times for lunch or just drinks. The thing which ruined this place for me was the sausage and cider festival. We were super excited and got some friends together for it but it was rubbish. the sausages were not as good as one would have hoped and all the cider was warm and flat.I don't mind flat cider if it is meant to be so but these were far too sweet to have been deliberately flat and the server said they were fizzy... The food is fine and the drinks from inside the bar are fine but there's normally loads of kids which ruin the atmosphere somewhat and unless you are embracing the terrace I can think of nicer places to be.

This hotel is set up for groups of friends / travellers. We've been coming for the past six years and love it. It's very close to the lift. The bar has a wonderful student feel to it - comfy chairs and loads of board games to play. The staff are amazing led by Tamzin. They really want to make your stay as easy as possible for you. They even have a jar of Marmite at breakfast! Beds are good - try and get slope facing. Please note that this isn't luxury so don't expect it to be and you won't be disappointed.

As a regular visitor with friends we often come here for decent, reasonable, pub grub or a great roast dinner. Has something for everyone and it's all pretty tasty. Great if you've had enough of french food.

I came here with my daughter for lunch and found the tapas to be fantastic value and very tasty. The staff are helpful and friendly.
