L'artiga - Reservar uma mesa

L'Artiga is a restaurant located in the center of Vilanova i la Geltrú, near the main market square. We came here all family to lunch and I decided eat a potatoes with cansalada (a local pork meat, similar to bacon) as first dish, a fideuà (typical fisher and Mediterranean dish with noodles) as second dish and a cake and a coffee as dessert. Really very good, only the mayonnaise is not so good, because it is not homemade. Also, my 4 years old daughter ate breaded squids, which were very good. The place is very comfortable and the staff was very friendly, especially with my daughter. Very nice.

We went to Vilanova i la Geltru over a day for shopping and sightseeing. The rain started and we found this restaurant near by, but not on the main street. The service did not speak english but was very helpful via google. The food was very good and soo the service. Our feeling was that there was mainly local people. Price was cheap if consider how good the food was. We can recommend this place.

Word of advice book a table. We were lucky enough to get the last lunchtime table when we walked in off the street. It’s very popular with the locals which means that it’s very good. Our Spanish is embarrassingly poor but the waitress was so kind patient. The food was excellent and the atmosphere great. Such a great find thanks to Tripadvisor.

We recently had dinner in this great restaurant. The food is delicious, freshly cooked and locally sourced. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The chef even came to our table and explained each dish to us as we have limited Spanish. We would highly recommend it

I wasn't too impressed with the food. The ossobuco in particular was not good,but I still liked the place a lot. Nicely furnished, very friendly and generally good service at a totally reasonable price. If the food improved a little, 5 stars!
