L'artichaut - Reservar uma mesa

L'artichaut is really the only good restaurant in Montaigu-de-Quercy and holds its own as a worthwhile dining destination in the area. Their hours are somewhat limited so it is best to make a reservation as the place fills up quickly. The dining area extends out behind the street in a nicely shaded area bounded by trees and hedges. The wait staff are friendly, attentive and helpful with suggestions, wine pairings, and recommendations. We made several visits, by ourselves and with friends, and enjoyed exploring the menu, which changes--so, be sure to ask what the chef has up his sleeve. Of note, I had the polenta with feta and beetroot with fresh greens and floral flourishes, as accompaniment. My wife ordered a pizza that had a delectable thin crust with a nice balance of sauce, cheese and fresh ingredients. Good choice for dining in or takeaway.

This is a regular of ours a lovely setting, a warm welcome and food that any restaurant would be proud to serve. This week our table ordered pizzas (consistently delicious and well presented), starters of a lovely gazpacho and a very good goat cheese ravioli. For dessert there was a rich chocolate moose with dulce de leche. The team members work really hard and are always positive and cheerful impressive late in a very busy tourist season.

We've been visiting this restaurant for several years now and the welcome has always been warm. The food and service is impressive given the small team and the big garden. Lovely, interesting food and excellent pizzas. Great for couples and families.

Great food, authentic local vibe. We sat on the terrace which had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly.
