"Like to go there from time to time, although it is a half hour drive. The food is excellent and varies a lot, mostly traditional German recipes with a special touch. Besides the written menu, they have a small selection of dishes of the day, which is worthwhile to look at.Last time we had a entrecote double for two, which was perfectly made (although not exactly German).Try a local wine from the Nahe region. Service is led by the chef's wife, friendly and helpful, without extravaganza."

mr.langendorf was a legendary chef at a legendary restaurant"ente" in wiesbaden`s and one of Germany`s poschest hotels.he had fame, made very good money and was envied by lots ofhis peers. but he told me then, that he rather changed all thisagainst personal happiness with his wife and children. mr. langendorf got very lucky: he was able to combine his family lifewith his new project: a typical but rather sophisticated "land-gasthof/ country-inn"nearly twenty years on, he and his wife look happier and healthier then ever before! and his guests and patrons are happy too: international and regional, sophisticated and old-fashioned traditions have happily "married" and fused inhis cuisine. - you have to tolerate the heavy and most ugly oak-decor, it is very Germanic and might become fashionableagain in fifty years also , but it is well compensated by friendlyand competent service, looking after you and making sure youget the best for your taste-buds and for your portemonnaie.excellent winelist and very good price-product relation!

Difficult to rate this restaurant. We arrived for lunch just before 12:30 and were served our lunch entrées at 2 pm. That is 90 minutes. No explanation of why the delays although we could see from the tables around us that they were waiting equally long. The menu is in German, but the wife of the owner was very gracious to interpret for us. The menu and specials were full of good choices. This place was recommended by a local given the chef/owner came from a Michelin star restaurant. For certain in the quality of the food and the tastes he really knows his stuff. The ambience is very old German style in the two rooms. Given the extreme delay in getting our food I would not recommend this place unless you are OK with waiting for a very good meal.

This restaurant was recommended by weingut Doennhoff. It took about 20 minutes from the winery. Maybe, it also manage guest house, but the restaurant is really nice without considering the lodge.Their wine list includes top-quality of Riesling, and the food are so good. I ordered beef steak, with btw. medium and well-done, but actually medium would be better. So, please order beed steak with medium if you want to eat beef steak. There are so so many frogs, in fact, not real frogs. :-)) They are dolls ! The female owner received so many frog dolls from the world. How it is funny. ^^In fact, the restaurant was listed by Michelin and Gault Millau !

Once you have found Meddersheim and this historic building, enter the country house and feel like again in the living room of the grandmother. But it is the retreat of the chef of the most famous restaurant in the most famous hotel in Wiesbaden. So his no surprise to find a most elaborate kitchen, the best dishes, well presented. A real pleasure to eat there. Since the village is located in the region of the Nahe River, known for one of the best wine-growing regions in Germany, the grape grape has a selection of excellent wines in the area.
