La Vieille Tour

While spending a grey rainy week in a family group in a lovely farmhouse near Collinee we found a recommendation of this little restaurant near Ste Brieuc. Well worth a visit. One Michelin star, a funky interior, a comfy private dining room ideal for a 3-generations party was married with the warmest welcome, exemplary cooking, carefully-selected wines and brilliant presentation. Nicolas Adam, the chef, is seriously talented and deserves much success with the new traiteur and boulangerie he is soon to open nearby. Incidentally, a wide selection of utterly delicious amuse bouches preceded the ordered food and the late Winner would have described them all as 'historic' .Meanwhile, do try the carte, the 3 course 'market' menu or if time, the menu degustation. All great value for real quality.

None of the other reviewers seem to comment that this is a Michelin guide recommended restaurant menu for 55 Euros! And the service, ambience, wine list and of course food, all validate this. The food is interesting in variety, textures, sight and taste - a real treat.The wine list deserves a special mention - i took a glass recommended by the sommelier with each course and these included 2 of the best whites i have had for years. Absolutely recommended evening through from the warm recepection by the owner and farewell conversation with the chef. Superb!

Every thing about our meal was wonderful. The food was imaginative, creative and simply delicious. Service was perfect. The chef is friendly and warm. And the prices were reasonable, at least for Michelin star quality. We are only here two weeks, but I think I'd like to go back!We had the prix fixe. Not many choices, but oh so yummy!

We went there for a family lunch and it was delicious. The atmosphere is very nice with beautiful glass sculptures on the wall. The service is very professional. The food is outstanding, with great flavor combination and good portion. Great value!

Yes it's true, hard to believe I know. 74 euro, dinner and a bottle of wine. It was a fun place, we would go again with friends.
