La Table du Royal

The hotel is impressive the welcome warm and genuine The setting is fabulous with tall ceilings large pillars and beautiful furniture. The Table du Royal is a beautiful restaurant and the surroundings very grand and formal Unfortunately that wasn’t what we wanted so the restaurant was badly matched to our likes The menu choice of 3 or 5 courses was €120 or €170 and three times we were asked if we would like a glass of champagne before the meal on top of the €25 gin and tonics we had just finished The wine list is extensive and frightening in parts but a reasonable wine is €100 plus There were 7 tables taken and everyone was conscious of the need for low voices Wine glasses are filled with enough for two sips then someone returns to give you two more sips Canapés amuse Bouche wonderful and good well cooked food with foam and essences dancing around the plate like a formal waltz €400 was our getaway dinner after 90 minutes with no third course Beautiful but be in the mood for this !

We were recently staying at The Royal Riviera and had dinner on our last night (Bastille Day) at La Table du Royal (2 adults, 2 teenagers). The whole experience was wonderful. Staff were very attentive and friendly, and the food was perfect. It's a very special dining experience without being intimidating or over the top. All the dishes were beautifully presented and tasted great. Two courses was more than enough for us, so we passed on the deserts but they did sound very tempting! Highly recommend.

We have diner here several times, this visit was as good as the previous ones. The view across the terrace to the bay is wonderful, service was steady without being exceptional. Food was delicious, crabs tomato, octopus and fish were all great. Solid wine list to match. I think this Restuarant is great on value and food and the view.

Had dinner one evening out on the terrace. The food was beautifully prepared, tasty and the service was excellent. The wine list is also impressive. During the evening a trio serenaded guests at each table doing requests, just added that special touch. Must come again and bring my partner with me!

When we arrived we were both taken aback by the beauty of the restaurant terrace and its view. The welcome we received was warm and genuine. The food, wine, service and the whole experience were all second to none and we have dined all over the world at some first class restaurants.
