La Roue - Reservar uma mesa

My wife and I stayed at a charming house in Cabrerets for a week at the end of August. We dined at La Roue 4 of the 7 nights that we stayed there. The menu was excellent with dozens of regional specialties and wines. The 3 course menu was often more than we could eat and always delicious. It is impossible to suggest any one item because all were fantastic. More impressive was the hard working staff, particularly Christa and Fanny. Be sure to make a reservation and then relax and enjoy your dinner, the village and the people. For American visitors, learn to relax. Dinner is a typical French event meant to provide time to drink your wine and dine slowly over fresh foods. My wife, a restaurant critic for years at a large California newspaper, believes you could not find a more enjoyable restaurant in the Southwest of France.

Never go back” is a phrase often used. We visited this restaurant over two years ago and had an excellent meal. So when we stayed nearby this year we wanted to return but wondered if it would be of a similar standard. Our fears were soon allayed. The menu was wide ranging and my smoked salmon starter and pork main were two of the best plates of food I have had for a long time. When Madame discovered that Pam was a vegetarian, she produced a dish specially for her. The crème brulee was wonderful. Once again, a great eating experience and done with a minimum of fuss, with no pretentiousness at all. A good restaurant getting on with serving excellent food.

Nothing to say, the kitchen is delicious, the service to the top! In the event of high influx, the deadlines are quite reasonable and the staff keep their smiles. I especially recommend the pistache pie and its white chocolate cream, as well as the duck press! My husband loved the trout. Thanks to all the staff for your kindness, and especially to the waitress who took care of us during our two arrivals!

Remarkable service! Hosted next door, we spent with my husband, and our little girl at the early age, a 48-hour stay where we took advantage of the good mood of the team From the restaurant, smiling and efficient: an excellent atmosphere reigns in this establishment, and we feel incredibly well! To make no mistake, the dishes are well made, a very nice surprise!
