La Pen'tiere - Reservar uma mesa

We were staying at a hotel nearby which had a "half board" arrangement with La Pentiere. During our stay we met and spoke with many people who ate here and who had a good experience. This is my personal review and opinion. The service was fine and the staff were pleasant enough. The carte which allowed a free choice of various items such as salad, meats, fish and pate was fabulous as a starter. We had great expectations for the steak but I was very disappointed in what was a tough, grisly, poor and tasteless piece of meat. So much so we refused to eat there during the rest of our stay. One of the other members of our party had steak at the same time and they said that theirs was ok.

Loved the Cheese beignets! We throughly enjoyed the menu which were made with local ingredients. A cosy comfy feel in a town we would like to explore. Easy parking.

nice meal with a very charming waiter. We had excellent lamb and a rack of ribs. Very good vegetable side dishes and the house red wine was quite drinkable.
