La Laguna

We booked Hotel La Laguna Spa and Golf for our last day in Spain before returning to cold Norway. We booked this hotel for the only reason that it had an amazing swimmingpool. We drove outside of Alicante to get to this hotel and arrived around 20:30 in the evening. Fair enough that we could not access the pool that late in the evening. However the following day the pool did not open before 11:00 o 'clock. Can you imagine? When the swimmingpool is one of the main attributes of this hotel. I went by the pool before 9 o 'clock to get the last hours of blissful sun and bathing in the pool. I was met by a guy cleaning the pool telling me I would get electrocuted by the machine currently cleaning the water. My boyfriend and I accepted that we would only get 20 minutes in the pool right before leaving to the airport if we went in at precisely 11 o 'clock. That didn 't happen. At 11:10 we asked the receptionist if he could please find the guy that could stop the pool cleaning machine. My boyfriend and I got 5 min of pooltime before we had to leave to the airport. If you want to be in the area I am sure it 's a great hotel with a friendly staff but if you are planning on getting to sunbathe while enjoying the swimmingpool I would pick something else entirely.

This spa has the worst client service that I ever had in my life. I got a gift certificate for the Spa for my 50th birthday. My sister (who lives in Torrevieja) was also there and I decided to get her another certificate so we could have a special day together. I did not have the paper certificate with me but I had a picture and receipt. They did not validate my certificate saying that they needed the paper one , they could see that we paid for it and still did not honor it. It was very upsetting because we spent money and could not use the service. We tried to speak with the manager of the hotel and she told us that the Spa had nothing to do with them. Very disappointed, we will never be back there! They also never refund us for the services and were extremely rude.

My friend I came for a weekend to disconnect and relax. We booked the full board package and it was nothing short of amazing. The pool is spacious with lots of places to hangout and chill. The bartender at the pool bar was very friendly and even gave us some recommendations on where to go at night. When we went for dinner, it was spectacular and the service was immaculate. We also spent some time in the spa and I booked a deep tissue massage. María José was amazing, I recommend booking a deep tissue massage with her. Overall it was an amazing experience and I would definitely come back.

Having stayed previously, I am fully aware as to the spa facilities. I booked a massage for my mother , it was her birthday. We arrive and not one of the female staff warmly greeted us nothing! The only male staff member smiled and interacted with us. Today’s welcome was nothing shy of unprofessional and unworthy representation of this hotel. Etiquette training is NEEDED! I waited for my Mother and not one smile, or are you ok? Or can we get you something. Poor!!

Went to the spa and had a 50min relaxing massage. It was perfect, very professionally made. I also enjoyed the calm athmosphere and the spa's staff are very kind. Thank you La Laguna Spa
