La Galette du Beffroi

We were pointed to this creperie by a local and at first blush one might wonder why. Pine clad walls, banquette seats and somewhat dated interior may put those off looking for something special. It was however stuffed full of local ladies enjoying a night out, and the tiny kitchen coped admirably with a glut of orders. We had savoury galettes with cheese, lardons and eggs which were yummy. The sweet crepes with apple were also good. Two things of less note, the salad with scratchy leaves for euros3.50 - not great value, tiny and very ordinary. Asked for 20cl of cider and were offered it by the bouche which worked out dearer. Charming service, prompt and worth returning to but would go for a larger bottle of cider and take the rest home - and avoid the salad.

A local bar owner pointed us to this place for dinner when we stopped for vin chaud in the morning. We were somewhat doubtful at first when we saw the place in the morning (when it was closed) but decided to give it a try that night. There was only one table occupied when our group of 5 came in for dinner. The service was very friendly. The galettes (savory crepes with various fillings) were all delicious. So were the sweet crepes. The cider we ordered was also excellent. Overall we had a blast in this little creperie and would gladly return.

We went as a family with our 13-year-old son and felt welcomed and were served a delicious meal of galettes and crepes. The cider was great and the ambiance really added to the visit.

A small, intimate creperie with fast, efficient and friendly service. Menu is fairly standard but the quality of the food is very good. Recommended for an inexpensive, informal meal.
