La Fonda Sports

We stopped here on a late afternoon during the week to watch the last minutes of a European soccer game. The restaurant is located in a small plaza and is pretty big: it has a spacious outdoor patio, and even two bars inside. The service was extremely slow, even if the restaurant was half empty. Our server looked very tired, and would disappear for long period of times. The food wasn?t great. I had a chorizo with arepa and the meat empanadas: the chorizo was good, but both the arepa and the empanadas were very hard, and tasted as if they were old. To be fair, however, we only had appetizers, and it may have been just a ?bad day?: their prices are very reasonable, so we may come back to try an entrée ? during a soccer game (even if the restaurant was not packed that day, the atmosphere during the game was great!

The food was a pleasant surprise. The price fair part was very generous overall great experience. The meat moist, the bread had texture and spices with a hint of crunchy rice was perfectly boiled right, the beans were ok the salad just the right part of the Arnold Palmer tasted great with lime. I can't expect to try more items on the menu.

Great sports bar, late dinner and a few drinks. The place was packed, but the service was still great and it was really fun. Good Latin music, good latin food, great drinks and the prices are excellent. Come back.

The food is great. The bar is great. Watch some sports and kill some time and you'll have fun. Service is mediocre. The food is always delicious delicious delicious delicious delicious. Recommend the restaurant.

It was good, not great from this world. The plates are big, but the chicharron was too hard as the platano tostones. The chicken, pig and steak were fantastic!
