"Ideally situated in the centre of Cannes this is a charming little restaurant with a nice interior, very atmospheric, with a friendly welcome. The ingredients are fresh, well prepared, the spices just right, ie its delicious, genuine home made food at a more than reasonable price."

We stumbled upon this hidden gem while looking for a different restaurant and decided to try it. We were t disappointed! My husband had the couscous with 3 types of meat, and I had the chicken and almond pastilla, a new dish for me. It was a mixture of finely chopped chicken and almonds with savoury spices, wrapped in phyllo and sprinkled with icing sugar. That combination of sweet and savoury may sound odd, but it was delicious. The couscous was very good too. We each enjoyed our desserts--orange salad for me, delicately flavoured with rosewater, and four small house made pastries for my husband. The women serving us were friendly, helpful, and clearly proud of their food. As they should be! We would definitely go back.

Stopped here for a meal just before the summer break. The food was delicious although the portion of chicken was smaller than I'd expected. Let's put it this way - it was an athletic chicken, more muscle than meat. But the flavor was superb. The mint tea was fragrant, sweet, hot and strong - and I loved the whole experience. As soon as I return to Cannes, I'm headed back there. The owner is charming and her server equally so. Two lovely ladies in a quiet alley opposite a fruit stand serving delicately seasoned fragrant food. What's not to like?So why the 4 stars rather than 5 you ask? Chicken as I said was small and not very meaty, and my couscous was swimming in butter. Delicious - but not good for the heart!!

We tried out this relatively new restaurant, thinking it was really tiny because of the 4 tables you can see from the outside. It is, however, quite spacy inside, decorated in a very sweet way which makes you feel cosy and welcome in sunny Marrakesh - also thanks to the lady's charming smile. The food was amazing, we had the pastilla, which is a dream, and the "patisseries maison" which are home made pastries, probably the lightest and best I have ever tasted. Even the mint tea was better than many I had before, since it did not turn bitter after the first cup.And all this came at a really reasonable price. We'll definitely come back soon... next week actually ;-)

We always look forward to a nice north African meal after the heavier French cuisine and this was a pleasant find. Relaxed and friendly, the tagine and couscous was perfectly cooked. Lovely Moroccan rose and especially delicious home made baklava to go with the "the a la menthe" - an excellent little restaurant.
