La Croix Verte - Reservar uma mesa

We drive pass this restaurant on daily basis so decided to move out of comfort zone and try something new. We were very appealed by the description provided on the website but somewhat disappointed from the moment we arrived. Restaurant had two dinning rooms, none...of them looking particularly inviting, both missing a character. There is (was) no atmosphere in the restaurant went early in the week). Understaffed so it takes a while for everything from bringing menu over through taking order to getting served. Menu has quiet a large selection but we went for a simple options burgers and rosti). Black Burgers were rather nice and tasty served with french fries extra charge), rosti very disappointing, would not recommend. Desserts nothing special, fill the gap but nothing to rave about. about going back.

There is not a lot of choice in Gland. So I ended up staying at La Croix Verte. I didn't find the girl at check-in very friendly; even less accommodating for my request for a large bed: fully booked. If the hotel is fully booked...how come the restaurant is completely empty at Empty I tell you. I wanted to eat at the restaurant. i was alone. I wanted to read, yet the girl insisted I sat at the small table which would make it difficult for me to read. Why? With all the other tables available, provide a better table! The room was noisy since there is no carpet in the corridor. Guests arriving later made tons of noise not because they were so loud but because there is quite some echo in the staircase. I was not impressed. I will NOT return to this hotel.

We went to this restaurant during the music festival in the village of Viche. The restuarant is very charming - I agree with the previous reviewer that one of the rooms inside is not very charming, but the first room when you enter can be quite nice when its filled up and the restaurant has a lovely sit out in summer which is really nice. The black burgers are interesting and served well. The rosti dishes are also well made with a nice local twist. Service is friendly.

Went in the bistro area and will likely return : good burger, decent rösti and perche. Friendly service with and for the kids. A tad pricy but have seen worse (and better but again found it fair). Terrace looks nice for the summer.

Nice warm welcome from the recently new owner who reopened in Dec High quality food cooked to perfection with a nice local wine list. Lighting a little on the bright side, service great we will return.
