La Cremaillere - Reservar uma mesa

As far as I can tell, there is only one restaurant/Bar in the beautiful village of Auxey -Duresses. One would hope it is a fabulous place with great food and service- like in Pommard, St Romain, Meursault and Puligny Montrachet I am disappointed to report this is not the case This restaurant is ordinary at best(Indeed my wife and I had a vigorous argument as to whether the rating should be 2 or 1!!!! The service is ok The food is really ordinary not up to the standard of the villages around here. My main plate was prawns and they were not fresh and I suspect from a frozen packet the restaurant is on the main road which is not the fault of the Restaurant but does not add to the atmosphere Overall it is somewhere between a 1 and a 2 not good at all

We had lunch here On a Sunday afternoon when we otherwise were finding it difficult to find a place open and with availability. It w@s great. Small. Casual. Very little Englsih spoken. Fun and with great food.

We had lunch here after touring the wine country and it was a good choice, The menu selections were a bit limited but it was good food. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. You'll enjoy it.

Nice home cooking. The restaurant is clearly suffering business due to COVID. However, we found the atmosphere very pleasing and conversation with the owner nice.

Amazing French cuisine! Cozy, intimate setting in the heart of the village. They offered great local wines and traditional menu. Scalloped potatoes are awesome!
