La Cigueena - Reservar uma mesa

we have come to this hotel since 1999, not every year, but very regular to covid; this visit was our third shift. first there were not enough guests to put on the usual evening buffet, so we were able to take place from the...a la carte menus, as this is a public restaurant as well as for residents. this time the food palette has drastically expanded, as the nearby Chinese restaurant is permanently closed and the chef has joined the kitchen team in la ciguenya. the food quality was excellent; there is also a Thai menu, as well as traditional Spanish and international decisions. the pizza menu, always a favorite, is extensive and they can choose between thinner or thicker crust for the basic. the restaurant is used by local and holidaymakers who stay elsewhere. the waiters/bar staff were beautiful; natalia and kendy are very friendly and were happy to help me with my newly learned Spanish.

We were staying at La Ciguena and dined on two evenings. On each occasion the menu was varied and reasonably priced. Service was prompt and polite we chose the buffet menu and all courses were well stocked with fresh food although on the second...evening the dessert choices were limited with no ice cream available. A good pleasant atmosphere with choice of eating indoors or outdoors.

Was hoping to try some of the famous Spanish cuisine as I'd heard amazing reviews from last year about the seafood however, unfortunately, the limited menu of mainly pizzas (presumably due to COVID) meant that this wasn't possible. Regardless, the pizzas were stunning and the...paella was delicious for an incredibly reasonable price.

as always wonderful variety of foods every time, breakfast and dinner excellent, service fantastic. yolanda the chef has an amazing work in these times. our group was very satisfied with eating and service, and the way and wise how everything was presented.

Nothing special about this place. Our food was over-cooked (monkfish and crayfish kebab) which left it dry and chewy. The pizza we had was ok very rustic and handmade. Wouldn’t rush back here.
