Le Cecilia - Reservar uma mesa

Back in the 80's and 90's France was filled with roadside restaurants, known as les Routieres. Usually family-run and for road travelers and lorry drivers. They never pretended to offer haute cuisine but they always gave, in spades, a three or four course hearty meal, with wine, delivered fast, hot and ALWAYS made with good quality ingredients. They are hard to find now, driven out by the competition offered by uber chains. But hidden in La Cecile, Normandy, is La Cecilia, a little gem of a typical Routiere. And long may it last. Open all kinds of hours and packed with grateful customers. Just had a super evening meal there for a mere €12 a head. Super cheerful, hard-working French owners. Worth becoming a regular, I'm thinking!

It's a road restaurant like we love them, without pretension. welcoming patronage, hearty and tasty home cuisine, very democratic prices, family atmosphere. the card is not very provided but the products are fresh. The lunch is crowded but frequentable, with an express service. It's better at night. which does not prevent that from time to time a tabloid of English or tourists in goguette goes up very high in decibels. Road drivers, especially at the end of the day, are generally quieter. and few.

This restaurant is geared up for lorry drivers daytime but less so in evenings and a lot of Brits eat there simply because its so cheap and basic but quality food. For 12 Euros you get four courses,: glass of wine and a coffee.

A warm and personal welcome, a comfortable, attractive environment and a simple choice of menu very well presented and cooked over four courses. Incredible value for money and we'll visit every time we return to Normandy

Great welcome! good small dishes home and tasty ;) null part or go eat at such a late hour! thank you for the rescue after note guest house called them while they closed ;)
