La Casalinga - Reservar uma mesa

On a down-at-heel high street opposite an abandoned laundrette, La Casalinga doesn't enjoy the most prestigious location, but don't be put off.Amid the suburban sprawl, pasta and pizza heaven awaits you, with generous portions and great value for money.It's a one-man, one-woman operation. Hubby's in the kitchen, while his wife runs the front of house. (La Casalinga, by the way, means "the housewife".) She doesn't speak English, which left a Norwegian family non-plussed when they tried to explain their daughter's food fads.We both had delicious pasta dishes, but the pizzas looked great as well, and for dessert, the homemade tiramisu was big enough for two to share.Driving to La Casalinga, be aware that Rue du Général de Gaulle is a one-way street and if you overshoot, you'll have to take a lengthy detour round several blocks to get back.

We found this pizzeria through Siri on our iphone. What a great find. Our two boys had cheese and tomato pizza with salami added while my husband had the mushroom Tagliatelle and I had the salmon Tagliatelle. All three options were fantastic, generous sized portions for a very reasonable price. We would love to go again.

The setting is not fancy, The food is. this is not the ordinary Pizza joint. There are beside very good pizza a lot of specialties of the chef native island. The place is crowded so you are better of if you reserve. Service is friendly.

Went to La Casalinga to celebrate our son's 16th birthday.The pizzas were amazing, I asked to swap a few toppings to my taste and nothing was ever a problem.Really nice people serving really nice food, all very fresh.Will go again!!

It was quite busy, but not full. Everything is home made to order. Excellent food. Go soon as the owner is talking of retiring.
