La Bonne Etape - Reservar uma mesa

My wife and I booked, by email, to eat at La Bonne Etape on Sunday 26th June. We received the following reply: Bonjour, J'ai pris note de votre réservation. Cordialement. Verrier Myriam. We arrived on Sunday evening to find that the restaurant was closed and a notice saying they were closed Sunday evenings. Disgusting service.

Stayed at the hotel. No one here to check In till 6 pm .I think this is totally unacceptable. Also resturant closed 3 days a week . So we had to walk 2 km to the town . Had a taxi back at 10 pm but that cost €11. Looks a bit neglected at front rubbish chairs stacked up .

continual humming from the kitchen from 18:00 to 22:00 every evening. a noisy room. the owner does not speak English. an attempt to resolve the noise problem. I do not recommended this accommodation!!!! Last evening dirty yellow water in bathroom.

Recommended by a local B&B to avoid busy central Amboise in high season. The menu was reasonably priced and the food good enough although not particularly elaborate. If expectations are set accordingly you won't be disappointed!

Possibly the worst meal I’ve ever had in France. Industrially pre-prepared ingredients put together in weird combinations, neither tasty nor nicely presented. Friendly service, but the food was unappetising.
