La Baule Fish & Chips

The food here is amazing. I ordered a fish burger and thought it would be like a fishcake but it wasn't it was a piece of battered white fish in a poppy seed bun. It was to die for. I loved it so much. The...chips looked kind of dark and I didn't think they would be that nice but they were amazing too. Sometimes darker batter upsets my stomach but it didn't at all. It was delicious. Loved it and would love to go back if I'm ever in La Baule again.

Whilst staying with friends is La Baule, we purchased family fish and chips to take home on Thursday Living in Yorkshire we have good quality fish and chips. After eating at other places La Baule last week we had no issue. Unfortunately the fish...and chips were very poor, the chips were very dark, soggy and not tasty. The fish was no better. Clearly there is something very wrong either with the method or the cook. A place to avoid I am afraid.

Simple, delicious, worth a visit. If you are tired of fancy burgers with crazy ingredients, get back to the well executed basics here!

Great chips Burgers were fantastic The French still need to learn how to fry a decent cod though. Otherwise worth going to
