Now I've been a weekend snowman for 15 years and was in the WILLERT competition for the first time on Sunday. The outdoor advertising made me aware that this business looks back on a 100-year-old tradition, which is now led by the young confectioner Susan Antoinette Willert. Dear Mrs. Willert, my congratulations to these tasteful and modernly decorated confectionery and cafes, which together with the very beautiful ladies behind the vault have exceeded the delicious cakes and cakes, the handmade chocolates and chocolates, such a welcome house that has exceeded more than my ideas (I have already had them). Already when entering you will be caught by the very attractively presented huge selection of the delicacies from pastries, bakery and confectionery and the choice is really difficult. This time, I took the cake pieces home with my guests, who had no exception. Now that I have made a picture of the cozy, stylishly furnished house, I have great pleasure to enjoy the next weekend coffee drink in the confectionery.

In the Erzgebirge there are also: small, family-run confectionery and bakeries. The old Konditorei Willert, now over 100 years old, is just steps from the market square in Schneeberg. More precisely, it's a confectionery with a café. What a long time to say: the bread is excellent and the cake is only divine. As in the Ore Mountains there is really bread, it still tastes for bread and is not a wabbelige structure with more air than dough. The ladies on the counter are very friendly, attentive and obviously also understand something from the topic. On my question, what is typical of the area, they recommended the Einog – a multi-layered cake, maybe somewhat comparable to a flat quark cake, with a thin dark foam layer above. And the tip had it in itself: after that, every day during my stay was a “Eierschecken-Tag”. You can only recommend this pastry.
