Kilimanjaro

While walking through downtown Heidelberg, my son and I discovered this restaurant. Although we didn't have a reservation, we were able to get a table because we arrived before the dinner rush hour. We were fortunate to get the only authentic African table at the...restaurant! We were thrilled at the possibility of eating our meal the same way families eat in Ethiopia. We chose their mixed meat and vegetable sampling plate "probierteller). The toppins were served over their typical flat bread and as you guessed, it was to be eaten with the hands! My son drank an African beer while I opted for tea. The service was excellent! The food was incredible good. This plate was huge so it is recommendable to go there with plenty of time and very hungry. PS: The pics below give you an idea of the size of the plate and how it looked after we were done eating. A must go when visiting Heidelberg!

It was our first time eating East African food so we ordered the tasting from the chef so we could try lots of different things. It was amazing, very flavorful with a great variety of meats and vegetables. (Also have vegetarian and vegan available) The...service was perfect, they were even very nice to our tired yr old Should try the beer from Ghana, delicious we thought!

first visit in an African restaurant so ordered what was recommended. the variety was spirited both in meat and vegetarian options to blow. must try, the South African beer. ambiente is ok and the service is good. they need a reservation before they go there. they book a slot for each table.

only really great eating and service! we always wanted to try and were not disappointed! we had the mixed meat and vegetables plate. the atmosphere is also very relaxing. when they try to get out of normal “doner and Thai food, def...definitely go to kilimanjaro

We enjoyed the authentic kitchen of this restaurant. The service was very good and the waiter explained the various dishes in details to us.
