Only secretly Bengali Essen. Not restaurant types... don't go with so many expectations I've heard of my Bengali friends, although I'm not Bengali I just love Bengali food, lots of variety I've never seen in other kitchens. Don't let me go for fish and their various preparation. I knew it wasn't a real restaurant, so my expectation wasn't like that. We went there with three other Bengali friends. You need to go to see all food elements and then you can choose what you want. We ordered so many things, alu-chokha-baigan bharta- alu bhaja- mutton curry- ilish mach-prawn curry- some fish with gobhi-fish fry table was not sufficient to keep all dishes. My friends of Bengali were very happy to see this and we liked the food. Yeah, we liked it. Since it is more like home food and not unusual Bengali restaurant type. Everything brought memories of Kolkata Houses. And it's not even expensive. Each item was $4-$12. We were there and it was only $72 and we had 6-7 dishes. Only bad is that from Jersey City to Queens, we had to change 2 paths, so a person is $11 for both ways. So we spent 44 dollars to come here and have this food. Was it worth it? I'd say NO, but yes, once you can come.
