Ilha Do Sal - Reservar uma mesa

The one word that comes to mind when I think about my experience of this place is... FUN. Fun fun fun. It's the atmosphere, the jolliness of the staff, the hilarious owner (who is a local 'character' and lives up to his role). The food is quite magical, very authentic portuguese. I loved the goats cheese and honey starter, and my beef filet was cooked to perfection. Portuguese wine was fab, desserts were good, prices were on the upper end of the scale but very reasonable- certainly value for money. And the setting is lovely. Eat downstairs in the wine cellar if you are non-smokers, or outside on the terrace overlooking the dunes. Great, friendly, fun experience. The owner brought out his home-made 'eau de vie' at the end of the meal, and, well... we swerved home rather slowly on our bikes! Thanks for a lovely evening, wonderful memories with friends.

since it only took us 2 minutes walking, we tried this place, where we were welcomed the warm sunny way. Staff do all they can to help you, the food is good and genuine Portuguese, and their wine (by the glass, all Portuguese wines) is a perfect match with the food. Price is obviously above the standard menu in a French restaurant, but then, there an à la carte dinner would cost the same

Excellent tapas menu. Unusual to find a Portuguese restaurant in France we thought but the food was excellent and the service friendly and helpful. Husband had pork stew with palourdes I had the chicken and pork from the grill. Lovely Portuguese pudding and excellent port to follow.Very well presented decor and a lovely sunny terrace right by the beach.

Lovely atmosphere, unpretentious. Very nice tapas. I recommend this place if you like fish , octopus and vino verde!You can eat on the terrace , inside, but very interesting is their cellar where you can dine . The owner has done a very good job with the renovation .Will certainly go back.

Authentic family food and great service. Super friendly staff and owners. 3 different rooms very nicely refurbished and decorated allow you to choose different experiences. We will go again.
