Il Valentino -pizzeria Pasquale Fabio Selvaggio

in general as part of the birthday present, I invited my mother to the Italian, she had made herself aware and decided for the small pizzeria il valentino in the city. the location of the park near the inner city you reach the pizzeria in the herzogstraße by a side street, they can park badly here, but good with the public. the restaurant is located on a corner opposite a frisör. so they can observe when they wait to even hack humans at the hair. ambiente das il valentino is two-storey, in the entrance area below seems simply a pub rebuilt. on the right side is the large wooden counter with marble plate, on the left side there is a long bank with red padded and semi-high wood trim, here are also the windows. rather unusual in the dining room, but it doesn't bother. theke is waiting with a large gastro coffee machine and some ghosts. the tables are held in the same dark wood as the counter and fit to the long, red padded bank the walls were embellished in red wiping technique. on several cramped boards are presented current highlights of the map. everything seems simple. here they can go after a shopping day in the city. I thought it was very simple and I don't really like the wiping technique on the walls. for a beautiful candlelight dinner I would choose something else. in our arrival was the dining room except a few tourist still a little empty as it was very early. the space was clearly filled with progress. some couples or even individual who were a cry. for later hours a reservation is certainly useful as there are not many tables in the basement. in the upper floor there is enough space for a larger group. the floor is yellow and the furniture is kept in brown wood with red padded. the walls are painted here in Mediterranean orange. we were served by a friendly young waitress and once aqua panna chose 0.75 ml to 4.50 € and once white wine in the carafe 0.5 l to 13.50 €. both were well cooled on our table. as an appetizer we chose carpaccio at 8.50 €. the carpaccio was of good quality, hauchfein cut and dressed with lots of fresh rucola, balsamico and freshly designed parmesan attraktiw. my mother loves to eat carpaccio and was thrilled when she had eaten the same dish on another Italian in the same week much worse. to this was added krosses brot and a pfeffer mill. as if it were to be pizza. they can also order the smaller variants with 26 cm diameter that we should not regret after a look at the next table (small pizzas of over 30 cm!.) my mama wanted to enjoy once something extraordinary and ordered: pizza bresaola (with smoked ham, rucola and parmesan at 7,50 € and I chose the pizza fantasies (with mushrooms, spinach) here tastes the pizza and the ware is fresh! I haven't eaten such a delicious pizza for a long time. on the map there were not only the usual pizza and pasta dressing, but also some meat dishes that would irritate me. cleanliness the toilets are in the upper floor. there was nothing to complain about. service plv here still works with the whole family and they can also notice that. they are kindly worried and it is asked if everything is in order. it is simply taken care of whether the guests feel comfortable and that is exactly what the key will be why the restaurant is well visited. we thank you with a real drink. the plv is very good, they can even take along the pizza for 1 € less. here you can also spend a nice evening with little money. the service, the food and the plv are surely the absolute plus points. Unfortunately, the environment is not so beautiful that they would have a big party here. That's better. but is rewarded by friendly and fresh products. my recommendation to go to the inner city sometimes to eat a pizza or spend an evening with the friend. we are happy to come back!

Good Yelp and Google reviews so I came, got the diavola pizza, friend got the salmon pasta which I tried. Wasn't anything special, salmon had a very fishy...

Good Pizza, pasta and dessert selection and quality. Also espresso. Staff speaks multiple languages and are accommodating. Atmosphere is like a local pub....

Excellent service and food. There were four of us, two couples. Made us feel like a local. Make sure to RSVP, it’s that good that seats get gone quick.

Excellent pizza in Koln ... need I saw more . If you like American stone oven crust... all good here.
