Il Ristorante San Lorenzo

We've eaten dinner twice here and have breakfast twice. In the first night I had veal which was served with wonderful sauce. I'm sorry I can't give you the name of the bowl or sauce, but it's enough to say that the meal was pleasant. The second...night I served a great Mediterranean style whitefish. It surpassed my expectation. Our waiter was very attentive and understanding as we had two small children with our party of four adults. Great wine, appetizers and deserts. A nice touch was the appearance of the owner of the hotel (Hotel Federale), who personally welcomed every guest.

Hotel Federale in Lugano a very well known and highly sought after hotel, conveniently located near the train station and a stone's throw from the city center. Extremely friendly welcome at check in, which was quick and uncomplicated. A beautiful room on the 4th floor clean and well kept, with a balcony and a beautiful view of Monte Bré. We stayed in this house for two nights and nothing was missing. A delicious and varied breakfast in the morning, as well as a fine nightcap in the evening we enjoyed it in this venerable house. Gladly again !

Our experience was only exceptional. A place to rest your tired body (for weeks traveled from half the way around the world) and with food that comes from any other thought in the world, except to be present.

The food was excellent! The room was wonderful with disguise and many, many windows. The service was best.
