Il Gatto Verde - Reservar uma mesa

Stopped by this restaurant on way home from skiing thinking it would just be a quick food pitstop, oh how pleasntly surprised i was! We were so warmly welcomed by the owner and her husband, and they sat us on a table close to the fire. The owner made us feel so welcome that we felt at home and they easily were able to accomodate a dietary requirement (dairy allergy). The owner was very engaging and added a level of service far beyond what I had expected and to be honest the meal and experience we had ended up being the best part of our day! Over 4 hours later we left having had one of the best dinnners with close friends I have ever had and there is absolutely no hesitation in my mind about re-visiting this restaurant on my next visit to the area. We were a multi-national group of 4 and to have been so warmly received was a very pleasant way to end our day. Please give this restaurant a try if you are in the area and make sure you try the chilli oil, it's got a good kick!

In an area with few dining options, Il Gatto Verde is worth seeking out for excellent homemade food. Open only Friday and Monday. and conveniently serving all day through evening, Belgians Gina and George are welcoming hosts and everything is made fresh from scratch. A real find!

Came here on our way back from Isola 2000. Expected a fast food place, but the food here was magnificent. The ricotta in truffle sauce was absolutely incredible!
