Very disappointing. We booked a table for 12:15 to have a Sunday roast. Arrived slightly early, only to be told we could not order a roast until 1:00pm. So we selected alternative meals. We waited for nearly an hour for our meals, and people who arrived after us were being served their food. I eventually went to the bar and asked if there was a problem, only to be told our food was ready we should not have waited so long for our food. In the meantime, people who had arrived long after us were being served with Sunday roasts. Our alternative meals were not very exciting, compared to our planned Sunday roasts. One chicken gougon was burnt, the macaroni cheese did not taste of cheese, and my granddaughter's starter was forgotten, despite asking for it twice. We eventually received her starter and desert, but too late, she had lost interest by then. The Hungry Horse used to be so good, but this experience has put us off.
Ordered vegan mushroom and ale pie for one of my guests . We waited ages for main me as last to come out and when they did the pie was still frozen in middle . Told staff about it and waited a long time for a new pie to out . When it arrived it was still cold in middle but didn’t want to complain because other 7 members had already eaten their food. Were told we would get money refunded but wasn’t
