"This restaurant is perfectly placed on the main port of Yvoire and one of my favorite places to take family and friends due to its ideal location. Filets de perches are very tasty here but I like that there are lot of other choices here compared to most local restaurants in the region. Staff is friendly and also there is always someone who can speak English."

Was told I could have a drink and fries on terrace while waiting for next boat. Ordered drink and was being prepared then she told me I could order fries alone without a whole large meal (I have 35 minutes until my boat and allergies. No small plates of food except Caesar salad (allergic to dressing . I chose to eat here bc at the door she said I could order just fries and a drink. The place across the squealed was nicer and very friendly staff; but only space inside in bar and next time I will go there. My French is fine yet here she wouldn’t speak to me in french, was short and curt and told me my beer choices were French or Belgian; was annoyed when I asked which French or Belgian. Not sure why she bothered to tell me I could eat here. Maybe bc everywhere else is busy and they are almost empty. Now I know why. I assumed maybe she couldn’t speak French but then she was very friendly to a French couple beside me, in french. The male server was very friendly- in French. Nice views of boats/ water. Beer was fine. No idea about the food bc she wouldn’t let me buy anything unless I ordered perch or Caesar salad; the 2 things she pushed.

This restaurant (which I believe is now under new management with a new name) is brilliantly located on the waterfront in Yvoire. Apart from that, the rest is fairly average. The food (you go there essentially for filets de perches) is ok but nothing special. Portion sizes adequate but not huge. Service friendly, although despite having a booking we were directed to a table towards the hotel, while several waterfront tables were free and indeed remained empty for the while meal. Wine list was ok. Price was typical for Yvoire i.e. a bit pricey, but you pay for the location. Overall not bad, but nothing special.

When arriving by boat it was pouring. We went to the first terrace of what we thought looked like an average French café. No fancy anything, just plain chairs and ok tables. We ordered our drinks not bothering to look up prices: 3 glasses of white wine and a spritz. As previously mentioned, nothing fancy especially since the waiter barely spoke French or English. Yet the prices were first class: 30 Euros! Not only this. the wine was not good and the spritz waterd down with lots of ice. A real rip-off. We'll never ever set foot into the place again and you are warned!

Took them a while before placing us at a table...restaurant was not full! I've ordered fish soup for a starter and then filet de per he with tartare sauce and French fries. My friend ordered foie gras and filet de fera with sweet potatoes. Fish soup was served and about 5 minutes later the croutons and the cheese was brought to me, soup was cooler while I've waited! Foie gras wasn't great. Filet de per he was so so, French fries soggy!!! Filet de fera was socking in oil! Service was really poor except for one waitress! Will not go there again.
