Hotel Restaurant du Lac

We arrived in Huelgoat having biked from Roscoff. We selected this restaurant as they offered a Bento option. It was a simple, tasty three course dinner for €13.80 Who could ask for more. I had pate, chicken and Bretagne tart. We also had beer and wine and the whole experience cost €56. It had a great community feel, with all kinds of customers young and old. The service was great, cheerful and helpful.To those who have made comments about the mediocrity, boo hoo to you. It was great value and supplied exactly what it offered.We are returning to Huelgoat as we peddle our way back to Roscoff and will definitely eat there again.

This was the only restaurant open on a tuesday following bank holiday. Menu looked ok with pizzas etc. tried specials on main menu - leg of game bird (pheasant?) which was very ordinary in a very ordinary sauce with indifferent carrot fritter trhing and slightly better potato pancake. They charged 7€ for their special kouign amann-flavoured icecream which was more like a caramel pudding. Just tired and pricey for what it was. Sad really, the village is in a lovely setting but just after a bank holiday in early May the village looked disappointing. Symptomatic of the French economy for small businesses je pense.

I was here with friends and although it was past lunch time the owner happily arranged a warm goat's cheese salad for me. It was delicious. This is a popular place for lunch andines si wonderful views of the lake.

Really good value lunch. 3 courses for under 14 euros. Served starter with main course but otherwise great service. Wonderfully clean toilet, recently renovated.

Nice place - superb location directly opposite Huelgoat lake. Food is reasonable value for money and generally generously proportioned, though the lunch
