We happened upon this restaurant after a day trip from Vienna to Budapest. We hired a driver and he recommended we stop in this nice little vacation area on the lake on the way back to Vienna for dinner. We initially went just past this place to a restaurant right on the water that was packed that he said was really good. Unfortunately with 7 of us and it being almost 10 p.m. and the kitchen about to close, we just couldn't make it work, so we walked backed towards Da Marco. The other place looked really neat and we were very disappointed we couldn't get in.. Da Marco's was gracious enough to serve us so we sat outside and listened to the karaoke and proceeded to order. We were all hungry and the prices seemed very cheap, so we started with pita and taziki, salsa, a ham and cheese sandwich app, and caprese salad. None of this was that good. We had some chicken wings, weiner schnitzel, cordon bleu and a beef dish with onion straws (can't remember what they call it, but something specialized in Austria) for our main dishes. The portions were downright huge. Most of the entrees were okay, in a Denny's sort of way. During the meal we all realized that between us we only had on us a certain amount of local currency and that they didn't take credit cards, so we were sweating the bill. In fact, I lost the bet to have to go to the ATM 2 miles away to get money if the bill came back in excess of what we had. It was close, but I lucked out. Nobody at the restaurant spoke much English, so it was a good thing we had the driver with us to translate a bit. The area overall was really cool and I wish we had know about it before we were about to depart Austria so we could have gone there during the day, but the food here is really just not very good, unless you are just looking for a cheap gut bomb. I will say that everyone at the restaurant was very nice and the outdoor atmosphere near the water was good. I'd go back here and have a beer, but that's about it.
