Hotel Hubertus - Reservar uma mesa

We booked the only room that appeared on the booking page and I suspect it was the cheapest what they had right at the top of the stairs. The beds were simple, but enough, and the bathroom wasn't in the room, but it was just outside. Pretty awful decoration and tired looking bedding, but I guess you get what you pay. With only mild warm weather the room was a bit unpleasant and it was hard to get air into it. That wouldn't be a good room in hot weather. Note that the church is very close and the bells ring every quarter hour around the clock the hotel has provided earplugs near the entrance! Breakfast was the usual ample German buffet and OK for quality. The location of the hotel is excellent, right on the market square. In everything, not too bad if you want something cheap and convenient, but note the above info

Hidden from the marketplace in Boppard is this jewel. After we had several large meals on our journeys in Germany, we saw the menu offered smaller meals and meals for seniors. These were at attractive prices. When the meals came (freshly cooked) they were not small but of high quality. During our first visit an English school party was fed, but we found seats away from them. Service was fast and pleasant. During our second visit the school had gone and the service and the food were excellent. We were recommended to eat our hotel owner here and he was right. It was very good and really value for money.

First time with 4 friends: a warm welcome from Simone and a wonderful, traditional German meal: Gulaschsuppe, sour roast with knoedel, Jaegerschnitzel, Zigeunerschnitzel, Zander, all with fresh and large portions. Absolutely precious! Beer, wine and champagne at the right temperature. Second time alone (2 years later): Simone remembered...I! Once again, a warm welcome and some of the above mentioned articles, all on the same excellent quality. We were not shocked on the bill! It was very cheap. I'll be back with a new guest who's safe. I'm glad to see you again!

Tragedy on third visit on 16.6.13 - it was closed although I went at same time as before (Sunday lunch). Moral: ring in advance I certainly shall next time.!!
