Hotel du Pouldu

We both enjoyed a nice meal here, the food was excellent. The restaurant is in a great spot with views of the port. Very busy, probably fully booked and the staff coped quite well, but after being seated we were ignored and folk who came in afterwards were served before us. Our order was eventually taken, but because of the gaffe, our aperitifs arrived with the starter. Not a major problem and the food was good, but the edge was taken off an otherwise pleasant dinner.

We walked to the port from the camp site in Pouldu Plages along the coastal path and decided to try Hotel du Pouldu for lunch. We were made very welcome and had a delicious meal. I had crevettes and my husband had duck. We were very pleased with the food and the atmosphere in the restaurant. They seemed to appreciate our attempt to speak French and we found them very friendly.

old restaurant in the (small) port of Le Pouldu: better make a reservation during high season. Fantastic 'fruit de mer' with crab, lobster, oisters, ...on the other side is a café with superb view from the garden to Guidel on the other side of the laita river

Menu de Jour offers great value. Lovely fresh local fish and interesting dining room. Lovely walk along the river to get there if you want to work up an appetite.
