Higginsons Butchers

higginson must be one of the leading piers in Britain. we traveled to visit over 3 hours and were not disappointed. there was a very good selection, with excellent pastries and a wide range of fillings. However, I should stress a very limited choice for vegetarians, so that the vegetarian in our group ended with the choice of a samosa or an onion bhaji. it would be nice if a vegetarian cake was added to the menu. personally I had a jägerkuchen (pork, huhn and stuff) . this had an excellent taste and I would certainly recommend it. this was my first visit for more than 15 years and there were some significant changes regarding what was available. I remember the day that there were also many square torments, including a four-layered torte, which made the series of round very complicated. obviously the times change like the cake selection, but the quality at higginson is never excellent.

we visited the opposite and were kept in traffic. I have to call after the closing of the time for grange and higginsons to ask if they still let us in. they said yes and we bought a fantastic bark and salt mud. could not recommend it very enough.

really good eating whatever they buy. their cakes are the best I've ever had, especially the cloby steak. they'll get what they pay. a first class selection of meat, cheese and various means of life.

Drove from horwich to dunsop bridge then grange on our motorcycles to try out there pies worth every mile, pies are delicious 5 star Taste is amazing. And a great ride on the bikes.
