Hermann des Wirtshaus

We recently swallowed it into a small restaurant in Leichlingen – Hermann des Wirths Hauß (hereinafter referred to as “Hermann”). Full of anticipation for a nice evening with good food we made our way. Parking search proved to be easy – there were enough in the immediate vicinity. We approached the beautiful half-timbered house and hoped not to find such a dark play in the interior as one often suspects it at half-timbered houses and restaurants in it. But nix da: the interior of the Hermann surprises with a lot of light, bright colors and an absolutely fitting decor. You sit on wooden tables that are beautifully decorated. The personal greeting by the owner was warm and friendly – we were led directly to our table. It notices: all, but also really all tables are reserved. We also preordered this table for 2 people a few days before. Immediately the small slate table on the table falls on the guest name. Great idea – you feel welcome again. The desk is all about to ask for drinks and there is Hermann's menu. Operation is fresh and friendly and within no time you have ordered drinks. The menu is well thought out – the attention here lies on various carving dishes and various burgers. But there are also steaks and vegetarians or Vegan will not forget either. Hermann is known for the carvings and burgers and we also decide for a carving and a burger dish. The friendly service at the Schnitzel offers various supplements – you can choose between Pommes, Rösti and croquettes. A small mixed salad with yogurt dressing is also part of the carving. The burger, on the other hand, has its solid components as a supplement – there is a salad bouquet and pommes. You can choose the Burger bun – there is a wheat bun and a rye bun. So, the order is done and the guest who enters Hermann at the first time asks himself at the latest: what is the bread plate and butter knife on the table? This question is answered by the head of the house a few minutes later personally: there are warm, fresh little paninis followed by the probably world's best aioli at all. Up to this very big cinema!! It follows the small salad belonging to the carving. He convinces with absolutely fresh ingredients and is not, as you know otherwise, drowned by the salad sauce, but lovingly cut with it. A few splashes of balsamic cream perfectly round off the salad. The salad also receives the full score. Time for the main dishes: the Schnitzel ordered comes crispy and hot at the table – it is baked with pineapples, sauce Hollandaise as well as cheese and the roasted potatoes make the plate truly an eye-catcher. Schnitzel is not the same as Schnitzel – after the first bite the guest knows why he will always return here: crafty and tastefully all the top. I've rarely eaten such a good carving. My counterpart chose the burger with mustard onions. This is also handcrafted and of a very good quality. The burger is juicy and the combination with the mustard bulbs absolutely succeeded. In price everything – measured by the top quality – moves within a reasonable framework, the Burger beats with 12.50 euros, the Schnitzel I chose with 16 euros. Conclusion: a great restaurant with a fantastic kitchen – here we are happy to come back. We only regret not having done it long before. Finally, once again, the staff is praised: super friendly and flink – followed by the warm owner who still personally takes care of every guest here at Hermann! Chapeau!

Eat with friends again today. As always, we were warmly welcomed by the boss and accompanied to our reserved table. The nice and friendly waitress immediately accepted our order. Beverages and greetings from the kitchen small fresh rolls with garlic majo) came immediately. Despite the whole house the salads and our main dishes came various carving variations) very fast. Small tip: the pepper cream sauce is worthy of the stars! Everything in a great evening and recommended.

We were in Hermann for the third time yesterday. The service is perfect and the prices are moderate. Large portions are served and you sit very comfortably. Book it unconditionally, otherwise you can't get a seat on the weekend. Very recommended! Unfortunately, in addition to several dry white wines, there is no semi-dry : But that doesn't matter.

There are carvings and great noble Burger dishes. Richly large portions, so for hunger and very, very tasty. Good beers, good Badish wines, good selected hearty dishes with names of the citizens of Leichlingen e.g. the Aunt Milly Potato Buffer and much more...
