Hemingway's - Reservar uma mesa

As we were staying the same building, this was the first restaurant we visited and it was a pleasant experience. The service was pretty good, and the menu choice varied enough (although nearly all the places in Arcs 1950 seem to serve more or less the same thing!). The food was good, arriving promptly and piping hot and cooked to our liking (nice and rare as requested for the burgers). All in all, worth a visit, and although not cheap, no where is up there except the snack bar, it was good value.

We had a great time. The waitress was very friendly and took the time to make us feel welcome, in spite of being very busy. We enjoyed sharing a raclette (as you must do at some point during a ski holiday at Les Arcs 1950!) but there is more variety on the menu than most other restaurants in the resort. Prices not exorbitant compared with many. Good atmosphere and right in the centre of 1950. Perfect for family meal.

We went here for our second meal out in Les Arcs having previously been to Au Shuss . It's got a great menu choice to suit families- children's meal deal for younger children and then a range of burgers and pizzas for older kids. The boys all enjoyed their pizzas and the burgers were good too. Four stars as the food was good, prices about average with other places in Les Arcs.

Burger and chips .... How hard can it be? Well it wasn't fabulous! Chips over done and rather dry and the whole place smells of greasy chip fat. Very noisy as it was heaving with screaming kids. Not at all cheap considering the average environment and offerings.

Food was good when it came. There seemed a shortage of staff to cope with the large amount of customers in the evening.
