Heimathafen Am Steinhuder Meer

Home harbour is located near Steinhuder Meer and offers covered outdoor seating and indoor seating. The staff here is friendly and helpful. Vegan options are limited and could be better that fluctuated me between 3 or 4 stars. I had the barbecue, which was a roasted bread with a beet cream and other vegetables and finished with a balsamico vinaigrette. The toast was good, but it lacked a deep taste and could use some Umami like mushrooms to round it out. The menu also had some vegan breakfast items, but breakfast is served only up to a certain time. After dinner I had the Pink Superfood Latte with oat milk, which was excellent and tasted like a chai. We also shared a “Detox Drink” that was essentially and infused water with mint and lemon that was refreshing. While this restaurant could improve by adding vegan dessert options and tasteful entrees, it is still worth visiting for its redeeming qualities such as a beautiful ambience and friendly staff.
