We booked a table for 9 people for a family lunch, best pub food I've ever had, I had the grilled seafood for 1 person it was divine, best cooked salt and pepper squid. My partner enjoyed a grainfed rib eye, and the kids cheese burger was devoured by my 9 year old. Generally we don't have dessert but after a perfect meal, we enjoyed a ruhbarb crumble with a smooth anglais and sticky date pudding with salted butterscotch sauce, all dishes served as if we at a 3 Michelin Star restaurant. The service was from the staff was impeccable, barman remembered our orders.Cannot fault the hotel in anyway, and will highly recommend 10/10

The dining room is stylish and smart in a modern way and away from the bar area, which was a bit boisterous with a live band, which we enjoyed after the meal. It is still a pub, as we Poms call them, and the TV was on in the dining room showing live rugby, but apparently this is a requirement of a Friday night out in this part of the world. Three of us had sirloin steaks, perfect medium I would say (pink but no blood). Sydney Oysters as starter or main are available if you like that kind of thing.

When you go midweek and struggle to get a table you know something is going right. It is a pub but definitely above standard pub fare the service is excellent. Portion sizes are good and food very fresh. They have a great lunch special of prawns fish chips and glass of wine for $25. Great value and the prawns were so fresh. But all meals I have had over a long period have been great. Well done to all staff

Friendly Staff, but the food was overpriced and poor quality. $30 for a small steak and chips in a pub with no table service is poor value. I ordered a 300+ gram sirloin and it was so small and tasteless. The fish tasted like the smell of the carpet in the place. There are much better places to go for a meal.
