After a youth baseball game over the weekend, our family was hot, hungry, and very pleased to find that this little small town diner was so close by. Upon entering, we were charmed by how clean and quaint the dining areas were. Because we had a party of six, the waitress graciously opened the back dining room to accommodate us. There appeared to be only one other group of six at a table in the front dining room, and two men at the counter. Despite the lack of customers, we had high hopes for a great diner lunch. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be less than positive. The service was incredibly slow... It took over half an hour just to get drinks and place our order, and another forty-five minutes before our food arrived. Thankfully my two young boys were on their best behavior and kept the complaining to a minimum. The waitress never returned to offer drink refills or to ask if we wanted anything else. Her attitude was lackluster at best, and at worst, we felt as if we were inconveniencing her through our presence alone. The food was good; simple burgers and fries, a BLT, and some basic breakfast food. This merely decent diner food was definitely undermined by the lackluster service and extremely long wait. We will not likely return despite having several more baseball games in the area during the upcoming months.
