Arrived with a reservation on time and our party of were seated promptly… The two servers were prompt and since we had eaten lunch late that day we ordered our entrees directly… The menu choices were great and the cocktail arrived and came out...very small. They give a whole new meaning to shot glass, i would recommend drinking before you arrive. While we were ordering I saw a Hamburger go by to another table… WOW That made my Decision… Hey , I thought since the hamburger was invented in Hamburg, I can't go wrong. The others all ordered other items in the menu, BBQ, Local Fish, Schnitzels…. The server took my Burger order, told me it was the HOUSE SPECIALTY so he wrote it down… Then I questioned the server about it,was it fresh could he serve it medium rare… He said OK then took everyone else's order. Everyone else's order was perfect, everyone else said their dinner was awesome… My Burger was Dead on Arrival… The same server proceeded to tell me, in perfect english, We have to cook all our frozen meats to well done I asked him why he didn't explain when I asked during out order that their house specialty burger meat is a frozen patty??? Chef came out of the Kitchen to calm me down, apologize, so here I sit, everyone is finished their dinner, I'm Done. So… Owner of the Hafenhaus, If you read this, Get the frozen hockey puck off the menu and with as many cows I saw in Emden, go get yourselves some fresh BEEF

I had lunch here and enjoyed the view of the harbor. The interior was open and modern with plenty of widows to see the area. There was ample seating outside for nice weather. The service was prompt and courteous, our lunch was delivered quickly and...hot. The food was well seasoned and did not need to add salt or pepper. We had the schnitzel with fries and a cucumber salad. I was told the serve a very good buffet breakfast on the weekend by my friend, but did not have a chance to try the food. The lunch price seemed fair, slightly higher than in the USA. But I suspect normal for such a restaurant. My standard thought is would I go back? The answer is yes. The one negative is parking seemed to be a bit lacking.

The restaurant has a great view on the Emder harbour and a nice outdoor seating area. The food is good, especially the breakfast buffet is great. Unfortunately, the service is often unenjoyable possibly because the staff/guest ratio is too low during busy times. In...my opinion thia makes it difficult to justify the restaurant's high prices.

visited this stylish and elegant place today in a bigger group and had a great experience. my salad was one of the best i've ever had and i recommend to order a friesengeist' after dinner in short: it was an excellent service, atmosphere and...food. thank you, hafenhaus!

I enjoyed a lovely diner at this location. Variety of buffet diner is good, tastefull. The grau burgunder wine was nice. Staff: not over friendly but at least they organised it well. Location: super Recommendable: yes Price; no clue...I had an overall price
